Biography
Wendy McGeanN.D. Ile Perrot, Québec
(514) 425-5677
Wendy McGean Valentine began painting in 1988 in her native province of Nova Scotia. She studied acrylics with Jean Stewart in New Glasgow, N.S. and continues to use that medium today. Wendy enjoys the fast drying characteristic of acrylic paint.
Wendy began painting as a hobby to express her love of her Cape Breton home. Most of her work over the past 13 years consists of landscapes around her places of birth. The art later expanded to become a record of her travels, particularly of Bristish Columbia and Europe. At this time, she is expanding to include scenes around her present home in Nôtre-Dame de L'Ile Perrot, Québec.
About 75% of her works have found their way to freinds and family as gifts. All paintings displayed are original works created from various photographs taken buy the artist. Recently, she has begun to accept commissions to create special paintings from the photographs of other people.
